Joyful Jobs offers a few recruiting services, primarily placing direct hires. Our services and pricing are straightforward and affordable.

About Our Pricing

Our pricing is crafted with our small-to-medium-sized business and nonprofit partners (and their budgets) top of mind. We understand that many of our clients are running lean, and we want to support that while still providing quality services. As a family-owned business ourselves, Joyful Jobs has carefully created a pricing structure that fits within the budgets of SMBs and nonprofits.

In order to keep our low prices sustainable, all direct-hire pricing is for a retained search, meaning that we will screen any candidates sourced by your company’s efforts as well as our own. Joyful Jobs employs various methods of locating candidates plus we conduct first-round phone interviews, so the fee is due regardless of where the selected candidate was sourced from. Joyful Jobs is truly your “outsourced recruiter” handling all administrative tasks related to hiring.

Entry- to Mid-Level Direct Hires

Nonprofit pricing: $2500 per hire

Small business pricing: $3000 per hire

An engagement fee of $1000 is due up front to begin funding our advertising costs. If you hire a candidate through Joyful Jobs, we will invoice you for the remaining amount once the candidate has accepted your offer. Pricing for this category includes entry-level, professional, associate, and manager positions. (See additional terms for more information.)

Executive Recruitment/Headhunting

We want you to be able to pay your executives what you think is fair without it affecting how much you pay your executive recruiter. With Joyful Jobs, you will not pay a percentage of your executive’s salary as a headhunter’s fee, but rather a flat fee. Executive recruitment pricing includes any C-suite or VP-level positions. The engagement fee due up front for Executive/VP positions is $6000 with the other half payable at the time of hire (see additional terms for more information).

$12,000 per hire – in addition to normal services, pricing also includes any required planning and coordination with hiring team and board members.

Just the same as our executive headhunting, we do not feel that you should pay a percentage of a director’s salary as a finder’s fee. Instead, our fees are always a flat rate. An engagement fee of $3000 is due when beginning our search and the rest is billed at the time of an offer acceptance (see additional terms for more information).

What’s Included

As a part of our direct hire services, Joyful Jobs will start with an intake session to discuss your needs for the position, interview process, and more. During this time we will take as long as you need to understand your company, process, timeline, and ideal candidate. We will come prepared with suggested application and phone screen questions, but of course are happy to revise whatever you request.

Once we are ready to start the search, Joyful Jobs will rapidly begin advertising the job and sourcing candidates on your behalf. We utilize many traditional as well as creative sourcing strategies to ensure our candidate pool includes the absolute best. We will conduct phone screens on qualified candidates (typically 30 minutes, or up to an hour for executive/VP positions), and quickly share materials of top candidates with you. Depending on your preference, we will either coordinate your interviews with selected candidates or simply facilitate an introduction.

We ask that you return the favor by providing timely feedback on candidates shared for review/scheduled for interview. This allows us to work at maximum efficiency and pivot our search tactics as needed to satisfactorily fill your vacancy. Once a candidate is selected, you will complete your offer and onboarding process as usual (Joyful Jobs does offer a reference check add-on; see below for details).

Add-On Options

If you need additional assistance with your open role, Joyful Jobs offers the following menu of additional services:

  • Creation of job description: $200 (due with engagement fee)
  • Compensation analysis and recommendation: $200 (due with engagement fee)
  • Reference checks: $50 per candidate for completing 3 references (due at time of completion)

Additional Terms

If you hire a candidate through Joyful Jobs who voluntarily resigns within 60 days, we will replace them at no additional cost. Due to the nature of our startup business, unfortunately we are unable to issue refunds at this time. This also includes the engagement fee for any cancelled position.

Out of respect for our limited client capacity, we ask that you inform us as soon as possible when you hire a candidate for a role that we are working on (regardless of where the candidate was sourced from) so that we may refocus our efforts accordingly. We promise to reciprocate the same respect for your time with prompt communication in all relevant matters. More information on pricing terms is included in our client service agreement.

Retained Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO)

Are you a small company with little to no recruiting team? Joyful Jobs can lend a hand! We offer the following options for companies in need of start-to-finish talent acquisition services:

  • Tier 1: 3-5 jobs: $2800 per hire ($2300 for nonprofits)
  • Tier 2: 6+ jobs: $2800 per hire for first 5 jobs ($2300 for nonprofits), $2500 per hire for any additional ($2100 for nonprofits)
  • Engagement fee: $1000 per unique position listed

Please note that job quantity only includes entry/mid-level positions (professional, associate, and manager). If you need to hire a Director, VP, or Executive position, those will be priced separately. Our terms for RPO contracts are simple: this is also a retained model, meaning you agree not to work with other recruitment agencies on the selected roles, and the fee will be due regardless of where the selected candidate is sourced from. Anything below 3 jobs at a time is priced at standard rates.

Other Services

Perhaps you need to build your own in-house recruitment team but don’t know where to start. Maybe you have a special project or just need some consulting or part-time leadership assistance. Whatever it is, Joyful Jobs is happy to help! As usual, our services in this regard are flexible depending on your company’s needs. Some of our services include (but are not limited to):

  • Consulting on specific talent acquisition, management, organizational development, or strategic HR topics/issues (hiring processes, employee engagement and development, culture, employer branding, onboarding/offboarding, annual reviews, etc)
  • Selecting and implementing an applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Fractional Chief Talent Officer services – part-time help managing your internal recruiting department
  • Building an in-house recruitment team for a fast-growing organization:
    • Consulting with your leadership team to create the recruiting team’s goals, structure, and long-term plan
    • Hiring and training a team of recruiters
    • Equipping your new team with SOPs for your hiring processes
